An authentic corner of Salento
Born in 2007 as a B&B, Tenuta Pigliano became a Hotel in 2015, following renovation and expansion.
Tenuta Pigliano is located in the territory of the Municipality of Bagnolo del Salento, in the Idruntino hinterland, a few kilometers from Otranto and the beaches of Alimini, easily reachable via an internal provincial road.
The structure was built on land, which has always been owned by the family, of considerable size and completely covered by olive trees; on the same stand an ancient rural building, restored and expanded, and most of the buildings typical of Salento culture, entirely made of dry stone, such as the walls, the “pajare” and the “aia”.
The structure was built without altering the natural environment in any way, in order to offer guests an authentic corner of Salento. The “pajare” were then recovered and valorised, from whose renovation the suite was born, the “aia”, on which a wooden roof was built and, lastly, an elegant infinity pool was created.
Tenuta Pigliano, therefore, allows its guests to appreciate not only the sea and sun of Salento, but also the beauty and gentle quiet of the Salento countryside, enjoying hours of relaxation in the large equipped outdoor spaces.
